Imperial Decree

Quiet Storm is a clan based loosely on feudal Japan under the Tokugawa Government. Members
of this clan are assumed to samurai from the Orient who have ventured forth to this side of
Calidan in the quest for honor, excellence in bujutsu or martial skills, and insight
into budo or martial ethics. Together, these three pursuits make up the Way of Bushido which is the central focus of each member of Quiet
Storm.
1) Honor the clan: No multis in other clans, display the clanbadge at all times with a few notable exceptions, the most common being the case of non-roleplaying multis of role-playing members.
2) Honor others both in the clan and those not in the clan: Help reeq after DTs, group to help level and learn the MUD as we are here to help the mud as a whole and not just ourselves. In short, show respect for others and expect respect in return.
3) Honor the MUD: follow all MUD policy, help others in need especially newbies although remember the saying: Give someone a basket of fish and they eat for a day; Teach someone to fish and they eat for a lifetime.
Other general policy:
In times of peace between the clans, if a clan member is pkilled, retribution will be taken by that person if possible. The clan will help reeq to meet the challenge but will not intervene unless the clan member is greatly overmatched. We will not gang kill other players. Members are allowed to be present during the rematch duel as moral support. Show our strength in numbers not force.
While finding alternative means to violence in the solving of personal problems is highly encouraged, in otherwise unresolvable cases those wishing to pursue personal vendettas that are not the business of the clan are encouraged to obtain a temporary leave of absence from the clan by consulting with the Shogun and being granted ronin status. Vendettas with other members of Quiet Storm however, are strictly forbidden.
Those wishing to become members of Quiet Storm must meet the standard requirements for joining
a Tempus Clan.
Potential members also need to either get in touch with the Shogun or another clan member who
can help you obtain an audience at a later date with the Shogun should he be currently unavailable.
Having done that, you will be mailed a copy of the policy and will be questioned about your
MUDing attitudes in order to get to know you better. Finally, the Shogun or a clan member
appointed by the Shogun will administer a small quest to test your general skill and Tempus
knowledge. Finally, at his leisure, the Shogun will review your case and if accepted you will
become a new member of Quiet Storm at the rank of
Grasshopper. As a side note, while acceptance or denial of membership is entirely up to the
Shogun, it is known that the current Shogun likes to listen to the advice of his clan on such
matters so it is wise to get to be on good terms with other clan members who might speak on your
behalf.
