| It would appear that Azimuth has been updating the journal system without letting me know. Since I can now remove comments I think I'll start posting again. =D |

We simply won't discuss the tardiness of journal entries. Instead, we'll examine exhibit A:![]() And exhibit B: .
It appears that last week an Elderly Lady ran her 98 Buick Regal (why is it always a Buick?) into a Camero parked on the street in front of my house. Afterward, (not satisfied with the Camero's reaction I guess) she plowed into my (parked) car as well. The total destruction of her tie rod ensured that the police were called. Fortunately, no-one was hurt.
When I get a moment, I'll put up some pictures of Stu (the turtle) and his new habitat; a rather large aquarium. =D
06/16/2005 - Jenni: Ouch! At least it was parked and you weern't in it. I can't wait to see Stu. We has a turtle for about 17 years when I was growing up. he was named Pete. 06/26/2005 - Derek : Hmm, the car doesn't look too bad. at least noone was hurt. Texas is still boring and hot. Hope things are going well in PA. See ya around |

Not being catholic, I'd never celebrated Fat Tuesday before. Something about the all-you-can-eat crawfish and complementary beer drew me in. This is what I was thinking at 2am when my boss handed the pool queue to me for my turn. We were at Harry's drinking 1$ rum and cokes after spending about 5 hours scarfing crawfish and listening to live bands at the cajun joint. A good time was had by all. Nice holiday. I'm going to have to add it to my list. :)
02/25/2004 - Sherri: You can get crawfish in Pennsylvania? WTF?! 02/25/2004 - Aegir: They get them in PA the same way (though a tad more expensively) that they do in MS. They ship them from the coast. :) 03/06/2004 - LordImmp: and i just love livin on the coast, but those things are nasty 03/13/2004 - azimuth: Happy birthday, bud. Even if you don't write in your journal. 04/13/2004 - Victoria Bracknell: <boo> 04/13/2004 - Aegir: Ack! 04/13/2004 - Vic: LOL Hiya stranger :) 11/17/2004 - dani: umm... that's a BIG bag of WTF there. ^ 11/17/2004 - Aegir: It would appear that someone is advertizing on my journal. :P |

Dimensia from the other side of the wall...

This seems to be the month of bad tidings of bad health. At last check, my brother was still on the respirator and unlikely to make it off anytime soon because of a heart problem backing fluid into his lungs. He's got fluid around his heart and his kidneys have shut down from an infection. Good grief. On the up side, I got to work today and yesterday. The beginning of the week was lost to paperwork garbage but we can bill hours again. SOSDD.

Welp, we found JT. He's evidently alive and divorced. I hate that his marriage didn't work out for him. May their lives be happy and full. So Dani's off with the in-laws as she's want to do during her holidays. She seems to enjoy it but the house sure is quiet without her around. ( I imagine that it being 4 degrees out doesn't help much. ) She should be home tomorrow sometime. I'll see her for dinner if I'm lucky. She's begun to have migraines more often lately. Hopefully a trip to the doctor with glean her clues as to why and a pile of drugs to cope. I've spent the evening at the house watching anime ( Naruto rocks) and doing some web-surfing. I've not really surfed around much lately so I'd forgotten how much I could learn and how quickly. I followed a random link about the Winter Solstice and ended up finding this. I won't bother to quote it all as I'm sure some of my audience doesn't want to hear it, but here's part of it for those enquiring minds:
Work progresses as usual. Our current contract year runs out in February but the paperwork has already begun for the start of year 2. I don't expect we'll have much of a gap, if any. I could probably use another week off in any case. We're at the tail end of the project I've been working solid on since early November. I expect they'll be pleased with what we've built. It still needs some polish but we still have a few weeks. The holiday season was a busy one for us. A week in Tannersville and one in MS/FL. Both were quite busy. Both were family filled. Both were hug filled. The MS/FL trip won the prize for most stressfull this year. My brother was in a rather ugly car crash Dec 25 at about 4am. At about 9am the helicopter ambulance finally found them. He is in rather bad shape at baptist (I think) hospital in Pensacola. If you're not already informed and need to be, email me and I'll give you a phone number. Which reminds me, I should probably call myself. Our computers, based on their own council, enacted a revolt just before we left for vacation. Dani's motherboard and CPU promptly stopped breathing, just as the last gasps were coming from my dying monitor and video card. It was an ugly thing. Fortunately for both of us were were able to gather enough parts to get mine running again so we could check email etc. Bill and I have been playing a bit of Dynasty Warriors 4 lately on his PS2. I recall playing a demo of version 1. I can't determine if there were any upgrades or modifications to go from version 1 to 4 but it's a fun game in any case. I imagine we'd have played a little Fist Full of Boomstick if Heather hadn't taken it to her sister. If I have to think to figure out what to say next, I've evidently said enough. PS If I know you and you haven't spoken to me in a while, please drop me a line. I'm loosing track of people and it's making me nervous. :P
01/12/2004 - Sherri: I'm really sorry to hear about Tim. I hope he makes a full recovery. On another note, how's Evan? Still mad that his dorky emails never seem to make it through because he's on Hotmail? 01/14/2004 - LordImmp: At last i have found the journal for my Cuzin 01/23/2004 - Blake: hey, more in time, sorry 02/10/2004 - Amanda: I check on Blake's page every month or so. I just so happened to type in sanctuary.org instead of the entire URL, and I found you asking about my ex-hubby. Wanted to say thanks for the well wishes. We are happily divorced, and still friends as far as divorces are concerned. I know we're both happy. Sorry to read about your brother. |

So here I sit, bored, waiting for people to awaken ( from sleep and/or football ) and wondering: "Whatever happened to JT?" Anyone know?
11/09/2003 - alison: last I knew he was working at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. Blake heard from his Amanda that they are getting a divorce or already had one. |

In case anyone was wondering, life is going on pretty well around here. Dani's enjoying school. Work continues as usual. I finally got my computer stable and usable again. ( SUSE didn't like my motherboard.) And just because I know you all need to know, the proper settings for a Geforce2 GTS under XFree86 are:
------/etc/modules.conf---------
options agpgart agp_try_unsupported=1
options nvidia NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1 NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1 NVreg_ReqAGPRate=4
-----/etc/X11/XF86Config-4------
Section "Device"
Identifier "device1"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "nVidia Corporation"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce2 DDR (generic)"
Option "Rotate" "off"
Option "NvAgp" "3"
EndSection
10/05/2003 - Sherri: wow! thanks so much! that will definately come in use while I'm sitting in front of the computer late at night trying not to fall asleep at work. *blink**grin* |

Proving once and for all that the earth is flat. *ahem* I mean. Evolution doesn't exist.
09/15/2003 - Sherri: Speechless. I would have loved to see the write up for the Geocentricism: Politically Incorrect. 09/15/2003 - scratch: I think I like the 2nd place middle school level. Women are made for homemaking. I feel nauseated now. Had i only known god intended for Weeder to do all the housework! Damn Damn damn! Thats it when she gets home I am letting her know what her new duties are around here! (and I think I will soon be single if I proceed...urg....) 09/18/2003 - azimuth: Not single. In traction, maybe... |
