Not much new to report honestly. I added a link to the bonsai section so you can see some of my spiffy lil trees. As soon as I get around to coming up w/ an image for the Pets section rollover on the main page I'll probably add some pics of Stu and Glurp for everyone to stare at as well. I've got a LOT of work to do on this site before it's anywhere near done, but hey, at least I haven't completely forgotten about it.
In other news, I'm back in school for music education. I finished up my CS degree last spring and was unable to find any kind of employment at ALL. So I ended up spending the summer working at Knoebel's and saving up money for books/tuition/etc. It seems to be going fairly well so far, and I'm honestly having a lot of fun learning all of this stuff. I'm kind of drowning in crunch time at the moment, but most of my projects are out of the way. I just have to pass my piano proficiency, finish up my thematic unit for secondary methods, and get through finals, and my first semester'll be out of the way.
John and I are both doing well. we're getting ready to go down to my parents for a fun filled weekend full of food friends and family. Happy Turkey Day by the way everyone ;). He's enjoying work for the most part, and is much happier about the whole deal now that there's some guaronteed funding for a while. I'm just filling my time trying to get back to the gym again and get myself in shape and motivated to succeed at whatever I've decided to do. Either way, I need to get packed and get some stuff cleaned up before we get out of here. Ja ne!
Thought about doing something with my website today, but cleaned up the bedroom for the guys delivering the mattress instead. Took another quiz. This one doesn't surprise me either. *snicker*
Loverly... It's been a while, so I figured I'd drop a happy line on here and let the truely important people in my life know what's been going on. Happy happy, joy joy. So first off... I took that goofy little quiz that everyone's been playing with on their journals lately. *drumroll please*
Is anyone honestly surprised by this? If so shame on you, you don't know me well enough and you shouldn't be reading this or something. blah.
I guess it just means I'm a certifiable pain in the ass now... but I don't know about that small and delicate part. I think the authors are a bit off on that one.
Anyway! :) I'm still looking for a job. Put in an application out at Knoebel's a little bit ago, and the earliest interview I could get was June 30th. With luck I may actually join my employed bretheren and follow the ancient zen ways of padding the pocket. Just so that I get to go back to school in September and operate as a broke college kid again. I just can't seem to get ahead can I?
In better news..... John and I are ACTUALLY GETTING BEDROOM FURNITURE!!! Wooha! It'll be nice to be able to walk through our bedroom without wading through the craggy expanse of wrinkled clothing. We're also buying a swedish foam mattress that should get here on Thursday. So I might actually get some sleep and not have to worry about sleeping on squeaky potholes.
I WILL finish up this website someday. I suppose I should probably work on that some today since I have the time. hip hooray or something.

Wheee!! Only one final exam left to go, and I'm listening to the royal guardsmen. I love the holidays!! :) Speaking of which, merry christmas all!!! One of these days when I finish the site I'll be able to write silly scripts to do everything for me, and I'll have time to decorate the site for the holidays as well as the house! That'll be fun :)
So this update I finished up some more pictures that you can't see yet. Nyahhh!! But hopefully some of them'll be posted in my art gallery on elfwood sometime soon. Eventually when I get a thumbnailing program written there'll be more here. But then I need to write the journal thing too. And I don't know how to go about starting either of em. Ahh well. Hooray! Done with my OS test till final exam cram time so I finally got to finish the pixie pic. I'm not sure I really like all the elements of it crammed together the way they are, but it's livable so I plopped it up there. The faeries are still cute.
So I also threw in a spacer png pic in the second column of the table so that the display pics were centered better. Hmmm.. I'm kind of nervous about that. I know IE has issues supporting a free open source file type correctly. All hail the evil empire :P Hopefully they wont decide to throw some obnoxious background color under my supposedly transparent backgrounds and make my webpage look like crap. If you're visiting this page, and the table looks blocky and two different colors, please do me a favor and mail me about it. I don't have IE to test it and I won't be back on campus till after thanksgiving. I'll likely have forgotten about it by then.
Ahh well. Time to go do dishes. ;) Ja ne!
Mmmm... Faeries. I luv Faeries. Aren't they cute? A little pixelated, but overall, I can't complain. I think they came out fairly well. I'm still going to have to add a little welcome message thing in there, But I was sick of watching the buttons move around everytime I did a rollover. This way all the pictures are the same size, so the table doesnt' keep expanding and contracting, and the little pissed off chick is reserved for where she was intended to be. Yay!
So um.... yeah. One of these days I might actually have some actual content on here.
So about a month later, now that digital's back up and happy, I finally scrounge up the time to do a LITTLE more on this thing. My my isn't this a slow process :) So far all I've gotten done today is another picture for the journal thingo. One of these days I might have a website that actually DOES something. Wouldn't THAT be a novel concept.
We're coming towards the end of the semester, so hopefully I'll have the time to throw into this thing. If not, it'll have to wait till early next year since we'll be gone visiting for most of the holiday season. It's a fun distraction anyway. Hopefully it'll stay that way untill I get it to the point that it's worth looking at.

You're still being haunted by that lil pissed off chick for most of it, but hey, she's cute, and I'm lazy. Deal. ;) Not that anyone's actually reading this or anything, but I enjoy talking to myself so it's all good.
I actually took quite a bit of time on the bonsai display pic. I'm pretty happy w/ the way it came out too. Hopefully the rest of the site'll work out like that, and I can ditch the low budget crappy looking artwork pic. It'll have to wait for another day however, as my brother just started sending me gut busting pictures of a 6 foot tall snowman they made out in Happy Valley with their 3/4 inches of snow. If I had a journal section up and functioning yet, I'd throw you a pic. But I um... dont. ;) Hasta till later then I suppose!
I finally had some free time so I threw together some JavaScript experimentation power and scrounged up some spare ambition (wonder where the hell THAT was hiding) to get the basic framework of the site up. It still sucks, and there's absolutely nothing here that ANYONE in their right mind would be interested in looking at, but hopefully that'll change in the near future. I'm going to have to get a lot more beastly in JavaScript before the journal section'll be finished, and since I don't have a scanner most of the others are put on hold for an indefinate amount of time too.
since you've been unfortunate enough to stumble across my random babblings, hopefully you've at least found some sort of amusement out of it. If nothing else the purple/blue buttons are pretty :P
