| If all goes well with the evil divorce/custody/visitation issues this winter...
Russ and I will be getting Legally married in a spiritual handfasting ceremony next summer in Fayetteville, AR, on our 2 year anniversary (July 24th). It's a Monday, so I don't really expect many people. In fact, we're trying to keep it very very small (less than 50 people total including various family members).
If you want to know if you're "on the list" or if you really really really want to come, email me for specifics.
Hugs to all and I'll chat with some of you soon, I'm sure. Huh, Bill, Scratch? Heh.
02/07/2007 - Dani: Hey there sexy lady!!! :D It's been ages, but I realized I hadn't gotten the chance to tell you congratulations personally. :) Passing notes through John just won't do for an occasion like this. So just so you know, I'm thrilled for you, and I expect to be able to meet the little runt at some point before they can drive. haha. Big hugs to you and squirt! ooh and the guy too I suppose.... ;) |

| 1. For mels.
What is handfasting? It was originally a binding contract of marriage in many Celtic/Pre- to Early Christian countries. It has become the main marriage ceremony for many pagans. As Russ and I are both non-Christian AND of Irish descent AND not willing to let the government get involved in our spiritual and emotional lives, we chose handfasting, which is/was commonly a marriage for a year and a day. However, the participants can decide if they want to forgo the first year and day and make it forever or commonly until "the love is no longer there."
At any rate, it signifies our commitment to one another and, as I'm a bit of a Southern Belle at heart, the ceremony makes me happy. :P
2. For other people.
I really fucking hate it when people I care about are with a person that I do not think is the best for them. There are several people in my life that just need to realize their partners are holding them back or not right for them or will just rip out their hearts in the end. It really fucking pisses me off and I feel I can say that because I've been there before. I've wasted years of my life with men who weren't right for me, who made me feel less of a woman, less of a person. Fuck them!
Stand up for yourselves and your beliefs!
And what really sucks is that there are some people that I care about that I can't tell them how I feel for fear of alienating them and that's just something that I'm not ready to do just yet.
But let's put it this way...
If you don't agree on children or you can't agree on money or you can't support your mate when they want to do something with their lives other than play your servant or you don't agree on religion or you have issues with sex because of some weird, fucked up delusion that it might lead to something you don't want... Perhaps you're in the wrong fucking relationship. HUH? What do you think?
Get over it and move on with your lives, no matter how much it's going to hurt.
And if this pisses you off, then it may just have something to do with you. Ask me and I may feel generous and tell you.
07/03/2005 - Mels: Thanks for the deffinition, and I agree. 07/11/2005 - Scratch: There's a reason I'll stick to the 4 legged children for now. 07/24/2005 - Tom Head: If you don't agree on children or you can't agree on money or you can't support your mate when they want to do something with their lives other than play your servant or you don't agree on religion or you have issues with sex because of some weird, fucked up delusion that it might lead to something you don't want... Perhaps you're in the wrong fucking relationship. Hmmm. Maybe I should stop dating that gambling-addicted Wahhabi Muslim stripper with nine kids, then... Cheers, TH www.tomhead.net <-- Humble, isn't he? |

| Had an interview 2 days ago for a high school science position in a little town called Spokane about 30 miles south of Springfield, where we live. It went fairly well and while it doesn't pay as much as I was getting in Arkansas, we're a two income family now, so that balances things out. Hooray!
July 24th will be our 1 year anniversary (of meeting). September 28th is supposed to be our 1 year of handfasting, but since no one was there to see our handfasting, we're renewing our vows in Fayetteville on the night of July 23rd at my friend Odis' weekly Saturday party.
I wish ya'll could be there, but I know that's not likely to happen. Just think happy thoughts of me and all will be well.
*HUGS* to everyone.
I miss you guys.
06/30/2005 - Jenni: We miss you too! *HUGS* Thanks for the email. 07/01/2005 - Mels: What is hand fasting? I've been wondering and reading and decided to ask. |

| Ya know, I really hate it when someone who wasn't there decides to tell you what happened to you was a lie to get someone back.
Does she not realize that John and I were dating when I remembered what happened with Chris? Does she not realize that John never left me, that I always broke up with him? (well, except that very first time.) Does she even know what the definition of rape is? Does she even care that there are TWO sides to the story? The sides of the TWO people involved?
*screams in frustration*
I still have fucking sexual problems because of that night with Chris. I don't think Chris is a bad person. I never really have. I just think he did a stupid thing when he was drunk and I made the mistake of broadcasting it over the entire internet at the time. I handled it badly and I'm sure that caused some serious problems for Chris, for which I am sorry.
But if you weren't fucking there, don't you dare make fucking judgement calls about what happened and why. And it's also not a good idea to make judgement calls on someone's sense of self when you're not in my fucking head and don't know what the fuck I'm going through or how I live my life.
Fucking bitch!

| It seems since getting a LiveJournal, I have seriously neglected this poor spot in interwebby space.
Let's see...
Living in Springfield, MO. Just finished my first semester at SMSU. Only one of the classes will actually count towards my degree. heh. But I got an A in that class, so that's good.
Had 3 classes this semester.
SCI 505 - A
GRY 134 - A
AST 115 - B
Cummulative GPA - 3.64
Undergrad GPA - 3.50
Graduation GPA - 4.00
Oh, yeah. Well on my way to one of those nifty cum/magna/whatever things to go along with my degree that I'll be finishing up next summer.
This summer I have 12 hours. 9 hours of teaching workshops and a 3 hour internet-based class that involves almost entirely webpages, etc. Heh.
This fall I have 12 hours, next spring is another 10-13 hours and next summer is another 6-12 hours. Then I'll be all done. Oh, yeah!
*yawn* Tired now.
Oh, and my truck's all messed up. Yeah. Sucks. Hopefully it's just the starter.
05/19/2005 - Mels: Cool beans I start in the fall, maybe the spring. 05/21/2005 - Scratch: Livejournal apparently has swallowed my soul as well. :P |

Why oh why am still getting hundreds and hundreds of spam(es) in my email box!!?! Didn't some fix that or something? If not, tell me how! PLEASE!
*cry**sob*
04/18/2005 - : spam blocker 04/19/2005 - sherri: duh, hello. this is like a personal email thingie and i only access it through pine. there's supposedly a spam thingie installed and it does block some of it, but not nearly half of it! |

| Oh, yeah. If anyone is feeling generous, I'd love a portable mp3 player to take on bike rides.
Just asking. Figured it wouldn't hurt.
Oh, yeah.... Just so everyone knows...
Danny is awesome cause he sent some money last year so I could pay bills and get back on my feet. Just wanted to thank him again!
03/29/2005 - Jenni: I would have sent some if I had it, but we're not in the financial situation that would allow that. :( |

| Well, I quit the job I had at the transitional living home for foster care girls. Worked three weeks. That was enough for me. I now have a part-time job working at Fantastic Caverns in Springfield, MO as a photo lab tech. So what I do is take pictures of the tours that go through the cave and process them digitally so that when the cave tour is over, people can buy prints if they so choose. Hooray!
It's actually not too bad, yet. Minus the whole Nazi issues the owners have going with uniforms and no sense of personality allowed, no individuality, nothing "gaudy". No necklaces, bracelettes, rings, dangly earrings. No color anywhere that doesn't match the uniforms. Yeah. Freaky.
But it's fun and I'm in and out of the cave at least 10 times a day, which is just awesome as far as I'm concerned.
Other than that, not much going on. Russ and I have bicycles and are trying to ride them daily or every other day, if the weather allows. I'm still in school. I just got my full acceptance to the MAT program (Master's of Arts in Teaching) and start the course work this summer. If the coordinator lets me take all the classes I want, I'll be done by the end of next summer. Hooray for me! That means I'll have my Missouri Teacher's Certification AND another Master's degree.
Russ is starting back to school this fall to finish up his B.A. in Archaeology. Hopefully I'll start teaching this fall, as well. He's paying the bills right now, but I'll be paying his tuition next semester. Crazy days!
I guess not a whole lot else is going on, really.
03/29/2005 - azimuth: At least you're not required to wear company-mandated "flair" |

| Yeah. Way too much going on.
